Codognet

Codognet talks about how semiotics are a part of the world wide web and are seen in our everyday web viewing. He explains how semiotics take place in all features of the world wide web from picture to text to indexical images, which are used to navigate through a page on the internet. He talks about how it can be broken down into three different parts. One part being the art of reasoning or the logic part, another being the art of inventing, and the last being the art of memory. The main idea of all three of these parts combined was to organize one's memory in places grouped into an imaginary architecture such as rooms in a house. He talks about the history of semiotics from the beginning of the last century and the importance of it to our everyday life. He also points out the use of it in terms of contemporary computer based communication.
