Shame about them Images

You see them everywhere wondering how people got them and what is there purpose for how they
are expressed. In this world of fast media through file-sharing, tagging images, and viral-uploads where people are doing everything from presenting images to reconstructing them, deconstructing them, exposing them and exploiting them you wonder which is the truth, alot of things get misinterpreted, and confusion runs amuck. The article In defense of the Poor image is an insightful look for people who do these things as well as what is mentioned in the article such as making movies with the images, Adding sounds to the image past, present or original meaning the person's personal image to give it different dynamics as Music producers have done or making a montage of images that have a theme, or no relation to each other.

Images over the years have been used to introduce people to things, making parodies, or contradictory images of something or someone as well as make them aware of things such as nature, a celebrity, an historical event, as well as to tell a story to get images that a person can do those things with was considered in high respect. A filmmaker making a film about any subject, or person, and if you had copies as well as the original you can share that story on TV programs, through books, or face-to-face discussion. Images nowadays
have that value still, but it depends on the images purpose. It was a time when people were amazed when a person or institution had an original image of something, In mass production making copies of the images it was a reminder to the people of how they first saw the image, and they could share that copy with others it was substance there. What this article argues is that Images now are just like people: Honest, Interesting, Dishonest, Compelling, Hypocritical,Uncertain, Blurry, Fickle, Fake, Distorted, and to a point misleading. Because now one image could mean one thing after it is first taken, and then mean something else, or have many different meanings as someone else obtains it. Youtube, has images of just about anything you can ask for, and they are moving images telling a story about a person, object, exposing you, or introducing you to something, or to buy something, to relive the past, revel in the present, and question the future etc.

And there are good images everywhere as well as the images after being copied used to explore, and question things, and again to tell a story. But the downside to it is depending on the person you will not get what the image was meant for, except their ideas which have been anything from the plain false, to the perverted, or to make fun of or humilate someone. Ironically these are the images that seem to get the most exposure no matter how much they are copied, distorted, tweaked, or mangled these images bring about a powerful message, that seems to resonate to people that create them as well as share, and look at it as reality and that reality is shared all over the world through images of this kind, and of the kind meant to bring people together by having them learn about each other is actually disconnecting us from what image sharing could be, and make it more exciting to learn about things and people through original, and copied images that could possibly bring about more peace instead of chaos. The original purpose and the original copy has a paradox again depending the people that the images can have great or no value, be appreciated, or not be appreciated, exposed or exploited, revered, or despised. Negative, and false exposure of images is easy, It's using those images to say something important, and helpful is where the world has it's trouble. Which makes you wonder.....
Does the world analog, and digital want to show, and make images to bring us together and deepen the understanding of people as a whole? or want to show and make images that drives us apart, and the only way we know about each other is through the negative images we see of each other? What kind of images do you want to show and make? It's your image, It's your message, it's your life. Get the Picture?
